KOREAN STIR-FRY GLASS NOODLE

Korean Japchae

A Korean dish made from sweet potato noodles which is dangmyeon (or called glass noodle, or starch noodle, or vermicelli noodle), lot of names, combined with vegetables (typically thinly sliced carrots, onion, bell pepper, spinach, mushrooms and green onion) and particular sauce (soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and garlic). It is usually serve with beef as bulgogi. For the finishing, garnished with sesame seeds.

But anyway, i’m not using spinach, sesame seeds and substitute my chicken here. Ha! Okay let’s assume it “not a big deal”. I think it should be best to serve with a bowl of rice as a side dish, but it can be a main dish as well, as long you enjoy it.

Ingredients

For the Bulgogi :

  • Chicken breasts (sliced)
  • Corn starch
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey
  • Garlic
  • Pepper

For the Japchae sauce :

  • Soy sauce
  • Sugar
  • Sesame oil
  • Garlic

For the vegetables :

  • Onion
  • Bell pepper
  • Carrots
  • Green Onion
  • Mushroom
  • Egg
