A currently trending satay in town!
Recently, I read and saw lot of articles about the famous Sate Taichan from websites, instagram and heard from people. I thought it was originally came from Senayan, Jakarta. Then the news about those trending satay ended around Indonesia, i guess so.
If you never try this satay, and still a first tester, you must be look at the satay surprisingly. Must be wonder why the colour is white rather than golden brown as the usual satay. As the same way i did. But, that’s how it looks different and quite characteristic from the other satay. As well, the sauce are not the usual one or peanut sauce. It is spicy red chili sauce instead, since it uses cayenne pepper. Thus, the specialty and uniqness of Sate Taichan is the combination of slightly sour and savory flavors from the chicken satay and the hot and spicy sauce.
I saw videos on youtube and people were doing eating sate taichan VLOG on and on, so i was literally curious about it and would try to make it. Anyway, i never try this dish even once. And, i was asking my friend whether it is available in Medan. What’s more, i didn’t have any stock of cayenne pepper, but i force myself to make it. I was just too curious, seriously.
