Mac n Cheese
Simple, creamy, homey and tasteful! Literally what you need while you’re home alone.
Here the dish!
The ingredients are not hard to found. All you need is olive oil, macaroni pasta, whipping cream, mozzarella, any meat you want (but original one is using bacon). But i use sausages as substitute (as bacon is hard enough to find in my market and even none), and put some additional onion. Most essential one, salt and pepper. Over and above, you may sprinkle pinch of thyme for better scent, trust me! But give that pinch at the last step.
- 1/2 cups Macaroni
- 4 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 Onion (additional)
- 2 Sausages
- 125 ml Whipping Cream
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Salt and Pepper
- Thyme (if any)
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Bring a saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni, and cook until not quite done, about 8 minutes. Drain.
- In another saucepan, give olive oil over medium heat. Blend in the onion and sausages until slightly brown. Slowly stir in the milk, beating out any lumps. Add the Mozzarella cheeses, and stir constantly with pinch of salt and ground black pepper until the sauce is thick and smooth.
- Drain macaroni, and stir them into the cheese sauce. Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle another mozzarella and thyme over the top.
- Cover the dish, and bake for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is all melted well and a bit browned.
Then, your dish is ready to serve! Serve while its hot bcz that is the best time to watch your sticky cheese. Should try this at home and happy serving guys!
